Oba Dosumu promise to work with security agency as, Ebute-Igbooro community gifts new modern Police post to Nigeria Police Force
Nigeria Police Force, NPF, has commissioned a newly built modern police post in Ebute-Igbooro in Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State.
The police post was built on three plots with fence, solar, standby generator, borehole and well furnished by Ebute-Igbooro Son’s and daughter’s.
The newly built police station by Ebute-Igbooro Son’s and daughter’s efforts have state-of-the-art facilities, including a furnished charge office, male and female detention cells with modern toilets, offices for the Station Officer and Criminal Investigation Department, an armory, ultra-modern washrooms, new generating set, borehole, solar and relaxation quarters for police personnel.
This impressive police post is set to enhance security and law enforcement in the area, particularly given its location, which is along Nigeria-Benin Republic border road side .
Speaking at the commissioning, Oba Adetunji Dosumu the Elebute of Ebute- lgbooro thanks Son’s and daughter’s of Ebute-lgbooro for there contributions during the construction of the police post.
Kabiesi,says. the decision of his community to fund and build the police station was motivated by their desire to ensure the safety and security of his people within and outside Ebute-lgbooro, knowing very well that government alone can’t do everything.
Among many notable dignitaries at the great occasion are: DPO Oja-Odan Division, under whose the police post fall, CSP Esther Oluwatosin, DSP MuhammadI/O of the new station ASP Olatunde Ojo, Hon. Wahab Aruna Egungbohun and representative of Oloja of Oja-Odan Chief Shitu Olowobese, Olohunbe of Ohunbe Oba Kolade Oje, Baale of Igbooro, ologe Abodemi Akorede and Pastor Martins Abiodun.
In her address, the DPO of the Division, CSP Esther Oluwatosin, who stood in for the State Commissioner of Police, CP Lanre Ogunlowo Ph.D, commended the Ebute-Igbooro community, acknowledging the strategic importance of the new police station in combating crime and maintaining law and order along the border area.
She assured the community that the Police Service would make full use of the facility to enhance security and safety.
CSP Esther, also encouraged the community to embrace the new police station as a step toward a safer and more secure future.
