The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps (So-Safe Corps) has urged residents of the state to remain security conscious during the Yuletide season as they travel,
celebrate, and reunite with loved ones.
This message is contained in a goodwill statement issued by the State Commander of the Corps, Cmdr. (Dr.) Soji Ganzallo, and made available to the public through the Director of
Information and Public Relations, Assistant Commander of Corps Adegunwa Adegbuyi.
The State Commander acknowledged the significance of the Christmas and New Year celebrations, describing the season as a period of joy, reflection, and family bonding. He,
however, emphasized the need for heightened vigilance, particularly on highways, in residential
areas, and at public gathering points.
Cmdr. Ganzallo advised motorists to avoid reckless driving, observe traffic regulations, and
ensure their vehicles are roadworthy before embarking on long journeys. He also encouraged residents to remain alert in crowded places, avoid unnecessary late-night movements, and
report any suspicious activity to security agencies promptly.
According to him, the Corps has intensified patrols, surveillance, and community engagement
across all formations to ensure a peaceful and crime-free festive period. He reassured the
public of the Corps’ readiness to collaborate with sister security agencies to safeguard lives and property throughout the season.
The State Commander further appealed to community leaders, parents, and youths to promote peaceful conduct, tolerance, and respect for the law during celebrations, noting that collective
responsibility remains key to sustaining security across the state.
Cmdr. Ganzallo extended warm Christmas and New Year wishes to the Government and people
of Ogun State assuring of the Corps readiness to protect lives and property especially during this season and expressing hope for a safe, peaceful, and prosperous year ahead.
